Thomey’s Floor Service, Inc. was founded and started in 1984. Ron Thomey was taught the trade of hardwood floor work from his uncle at a very young age. Ron Thomey has over forty years of experience in the hardwood floor industry and his knowledge continues to grow as the industry expands.. Mr. Thomey is the president and owner of the company. He states “I take exceptional pride in the workmanship provided by my company.” Within one year of owning his own business, he incorporated. Thomey’s Floor Service, Inc. is a family owned and operated business.
The crews that work for us have been employed by us for quite some time now. It takes years to train someone the trade of hardwood floor work. We work one on one with our employees and it shows! Dear Mr. Thomey:
Getting floors refinished in a house you are living in can be an awkward event because you need to clear everything away from the work area and not walk through those rooms until the finish dries every day. Three coats – three days!
I am writing to recommend your Thomey’s Floor Service as a wonderful group to work with. It was a pleasure to do business with you and I am very pleased with the results.
I found your firm in the phone book. I called for an estimate, and Mr. Thomey came promptly to the house to give a price for the job.
Once I decided to have you do the work, we scheduled a time which best suited me. The job was to refinish a much trafficked parquet hallway and pine stairway to the basement. It would take 3 consecutive days of work. I picked a time when everyone in my household but me was away. I planned to be at work all day. Thomey’s accommodated me in their schedule, arriving very early and leaving around noon to allow the floors to dry before I returned from work.
On the first day on the job, Harry and Johnny evaluated and creatively solved a difficult problem involving the original design of the hall floor where it met the basement stairway. They also skillfully removed and replaced some parquet which was warped and broken from water damage. You cannot even see that there had been a problem.
Harry and Johnny arrived on time each day, did their work, cleaned up, and left early enough so that the floors were dry before I arrived home.
I hardly knew they had been in my house except that they left notes for me each day and finished the job, giving me a beautiful sparkling floor and stairway! Thank you.
